Skate & Create in A’dam Centrum

Create an impact on and off the board…

Wednesdays Group 1, ages 9-11

Thursdays Group 2, ages 12-14

About The Program

Our autumn program will combine our love for skateboarding and our love for getting hands-on and creative for impact! Through group creative sessions, we’ll cover themes like breaking stereotypes, authentically taking up space and speaking out on topics that matter to us.

  • We’re stoked to get more girls skateboarding and, in the process, boost their resilience and confidence. Creating a space where, when we fall, we can lift each other up, high five and jump back on the board.

Skateboarding is for everyone, and this course is designed for beginner to intermediate skaters.

Through a combination of technique, games and challenges, it’s our goal to make sure everyone gets the most out of our skate skill sessions, based on their personal goals and ability.

  • We're empowering our Fearless kids to see how individual action can be part of a solution, giving them a unique platform to speak out, break stereotypes and create an impact.

We created skate zines on our summer program, and in autumn 2020 we made and released our How To Be A Roll Model video.

This season, we'll be working alongside inspiring women in the creative industry to give our kids a space for their voices to be heard. We’ll discuss topics like being a young girl in skating (with a special guest) and creating inclusive communities.

If your kid is new to this course and they've been skating for a year or more, please reach out to merida@projectfearless.org to ensure it's the right fit for their skills. We want to make sure everyone has the best experience, and that we can offer the right level of challenge to ensure growth.

  • Our goal is to continue no matter what! However, if the skatepark is too wet to skate or the weather is downright miserable, we'll send parents/guardians cancellation or change of location updates 2hrs before the session starts. Our rain back-up location is attached to Beatrixpark near Amsterdam RAI (a 7-minute cycle from Olympiaplein).

  • Cancellations need to be sent in writing to sales@projectfearless.org, within 24hrs after you've signed up.
