How we work

Our Methodology

  • Build

Build an inclusive and supportive environment. We cultivate a safe environment where everyone's voice is valued, offering mentorship from accessible role models and a space for kids to define success for themselves, on their terms.

  • Make

Make an impact! Make mistakes, get messy and think outside the box. By giving girls the resources and community they need, we empower the next generation to lead healthy, fulfilling lives and create good change in the world.

  • Be

Be an authentic role model. Project Fearless believes in leadership for positive impact. Our Coaches and mentors show their values through their actions, and by sharing their stories.

For the leaders and teammates of the future…

Our methodology centres on creating inclusive spaces where participants can explore new activities, build confidence and develop essential life skills. Our core 8-week after-school programs run seasonally, four times a year (ranging from Skateboarding to Sustainable Sewing). Whatever the activity, all our programs include the same emotional learning content, carefully designed to nurture future-ready skills, emotional intelligence and positive behaviours.

How we’re working for impact, for kids by the kids.

  1. We cultivate inclusive leadership through empathy and teamwork

  2. We create safe spaces for taking on challenges and learning from failure

  3. We help our Fearless kids to see themselves as change-makers

  4. We make space for intergenerational mentorship between our Coaches, volunteers, Junior Coaches (ages 14-17) and Fearless kids (ages 9-14)

  5. Twice a year, our Youth Advisory Board (ages 9-17) gives us feedback and ideas to shape Project Fearless

“She speaks a lot about Project Fearless and all the kids and mentors, and we do think this has had a great impact on her and on how she’s dealing with being different. Thank you very much for this safe space in which the kids can grow and thrive!”
